Operation “White Shoe”: Drug dealing network dismantled in Puerto Madryn

In a coordinated and simultaneous action, the Puerto Madryn Dangerous Drugs Division carried out two raids in the San Miguel neighborhood and 287 homes. The operation, called “Zapato Blanco,” was carried out starting at 6 p.m. and was the result of an investigation of approximately 20 days into drug dealing in the city. One man was arrested and two others were charged, all of legal age, for violating the Drug Law (23,737).

The raids, which were carried out at the homes located in Marcos Lombardo and España, as well as in Estalinao del Campo and Mistrangelo, were supervised by the Federal Court No. 2 of Rawson, headed by Dr. Guillermo Gustavo Lleral, and the Federal Prosecutor Dr. Fernando Gelvez. The name of the operation refers to the main suspect nicknamed “Zapato”.

The investigation began after receiving anonymous reports about the sale of narcotics at these addresses, with a modus operandi of retail trade and delivery. During the investigation, a heavy movement of customers was observed at the identified sales points, with frequent drug transactions by the suspects.

As a result of the raids, authorities seized several cell phones, approximately 4 million pesos in cash, notes, precision scales, cutting and stretching substances, nylon scraps, and a compact 600-gram block of cocaine hydrochloride.

In addition, 152 packages of cocaine hydrochloride ready for sale, 25 cannabis cigarettes with a total weight of 20 grams, a .38 caliber firearm with ammunition, and a champagne-colored Toyota Corolla vehicle were found. Personnel from the Puerto Madryn Dangerous Drugs and Special Laws Division, the GEOP Special Group, the Canine Division of the Regional Unit, the Anti-Narcotics Section, and the Local Scientific Police Division participated in the proceedings.
