Taylor Swift is having fun at her parents’ expense while in London!
On Friday, Aug. 16, the 34-year-old superstar thanked the crowd at Wembley Stadium for a heartfelt ovation and included a funny dig at her parents in the process.
“I guarantee my parents were just recording that on their phones,” she said in a video recorded by a fan on X (formerly Twitter). “So anytime I’m having a sad or a bad day, not only will I play the video in my mind, but I’m gonna revisit that moment a lot – thank you so much for doing that.”
The “Soon You’ll Get Better” singer’s mom Andrea was also with her daughter during the June 2024 Wembley run of the Eras Tour, when a fan caught her reacting to lyrics that reference her on Swift’s Tortured Poets Department track “thanK you aiMee.”
“Everyone knows that my mother is a saintly woman,” Swift sang on stage as a camera panned to Andrea waving to the crowd around her, who cheered as the lyrics were sung.
During her first night back on Thursday, Aug. 15, the “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart” singer brought out longtime friend Ed Sheeran onstage during the surprise songs section of her show. They performed their collaborations “Everything Has Changed” and “End Game,” plus Sheeran’s 2014 hit “Thinking Out Loud.”
Swift will close out the European stretch of her record-breaking tour with a final show in London on Aug. 20. For its last leg, the Eras Tour will resume in Toronto on Nov. 14 before stopping at more North American cities and finally coming to close in December.
